Last week, we took you behind the scenes as 21 models prepped for the NYFW show for the Parke & Ronen Spring 2014 collection. Dressed in only the finest of Parke & Ronen white boxer briefs, the men, who had to go through a grueling selection process, gave interviews and fidgeted with their phones while finishing touches were being made in hair and makeup by Aveda.
When the show began, the models, wearing shoes provided by Walk-Over, glistened as the lights hit their faces on the simple white runway at Industria Studios in the West Village of New York. The models were wearing selections from Parke & Ronen Greek Idylls, a collection infused with evocative colors and inspired by the Aegean Sea and its islands. The models rocked the runway in bold, bright colors like cobalt blue paired with shimmering neutral tones.
Though a lot of pieces in the collection were sportswear, Parke & Ronen, true to form, did not forget to incorporate plenty of swimwear looks. The runway was full of bold stripes and prints. Some of the names for the trunks were also inspired by Greece such as the Angeleno swim-trunk and the 4″ board-short in Stavros Navy Stripe.
