The Best Swim Briefs For Your Summer Body

While a swim brief may be commonplace in Europe, South America and elsewhere, it has yet to be widely accepted here in the U.S. We at the Underwear Expert think that’s a shame! Swim briefs can be bold and stylish. They’re a perfect way to show off that summer body you’ve worked so hard to achieve, and the best way to avoid super-obnoxious tan lines on your thighs. We took model Jake DuPree outside to show off the hottest swim brief styles for Spring/Summer 2016.

Intricate patterns and bold statements are a big trend this summer. Many designers are walking the line between masculine style and creative flair. You can flaunt your masculine physique with the cut, why not flaunt your inner wild-side with a fun pattern? Perhaps repeating grenades or a floral print? The juxtaposition could be just what you need to turn a few heads at the beach.

For the men who live for summer, we suggest bright, bold colors. Soak up the sun in a bright blue or green and be the envy of your fellow beach-goers. Solid colors will never go out of style when it comes to men’s swimwear. You can always count on looking great in a simple, solid pair. Or, if the spirit moves you, try color blocking or bold piping accents to add a bit more wow-factor to your suit.

Finally, there’s always the option to keep it chic and simple. Solid black, done right, can look extremely classic and sexy. Our thought is, when you’re going for a subdued color like black, try a braver cut. Show off just a hint more skin to really shake things up.

No matter how you cut it, swim briefs are for men who want to be seen. A man in a swim brief is going to be noticed. Whether you’re a beach bunny spending every day in the sand, or the occasional pool-partier, getting noticed is never a bad thing. Be brave and be stylish with a hot new suit this summer.

Will you be so bold as to wear a swim brief this season? Which of the swim briefs featured in our shoot would wear first? Let us know in the comments below, or by tweeting us @underwearexpert.
