It’s that time of year again where you’re either googly-eyed over your significant other, or bitter as hell and rolling your eyes at every couple you see. Either way, there’s no avoiding the plastic hearts in storefronts, or Valentine’s cards at the convenience store. There’s no avoiding Valentine’s Day, it’s going to happen. And whether you’re taken or single, you can still dress the part of a punch-drunk lover. After all, you gotta love yourself first before you can love another. With that in mind, we officially recommend breaking out some new pink underwear.
Pink underwear is a smart style choice on Valentine’s Day for a couple of reasons. First off, you’re clearly dressed for the day. Pink is a definite Valentine’s color, and your special someone is sure to notice the effort. Second, pink is sweeter and less erotic than red. At least it is most of the time. Like all other pairs of underwear, it comes down to the style and design. How much skin you cover, and how much skin you show.
Most people tend to think of Valentine’s Day underwear as something red and something sexy, but this doesn’t have to be the case. Red is a little typical, and kind of expected if your significant other has already seen in you the pair. The first thing Valentine’s Day underwear should be is surprising, and not necessarily in a sexual way. Take it from us: the biggest wow-factor comes from how good you look in the underwear.
And something else you should take from us: men could (and should) dress to impress on Valentine’s Day – even down to their underwear. Whether you’re gay or straight, your Valentine doesn’t want to see your Fruit of the Looms, or that same pair you always go to when sex is bound to happen. Why not try to blow their socks off, along with the rest of their clothes? And on that note, they want to see you, not you dressed as a go-go boy. Unless of course, you are a go-go boy.
Don’t get us wrong, there is nothing wrong about wearing your sexiest and steamiest underwear on Valentine’s Day. There is a certain wow-factor that comes from showing your frisky side. But if you’re plans for the night are more intimate than erotic, then maybe casual pink underwear is the way to go. It’s less forward, yet romantic enough to make Valentine’s Day 2016 a memorable one.
