Malebasics Neon, Anything But Basic

headerneon

There’s nothing basic about the Malebasics Neon Collection designed for spring/summer 2015. In-house photographer Anibal Velasquez shot the collection, positioning and posing models Marcopolo Belisario, Anthony Dumont, Jeramel Condado and Calevula all in the bright yellow, blue, and magenta styles the brand has rolled out for this season.

In the beginning of the shoot, it’s hard to tell what to look at first: the hot new colors – or the men wearing them. Velasquez delivers a series chock full of chiseled this and bulging that, each model placed against a dark, smokey backdrop that puts them and the new designs front and center. About halfway through, Marcopolo and the others get a paint job. Splatter paint and finger paint bring a level of fun to the sultry shoot and remind us that the Malebasics Neon collection is all about color.

For obvious reasons, paint or no paint, it’s Malebasics Neon jock straps that really stand out. They come with the traditional wide, thick stretchy straps that do just what they’re supposed to: prop up all your proper assets. While the front pouch and waist strap are both black, the colorful seam stitching and dual colored back straps make this a pair worth exploring from front to rear.

Which would you prefer? The jock or trunk style in the Malebasics Neon Collection? Let us know in the comments below or send us a tweet at @underwearexpert.
