Fine Lines: The Versatility Of Striped Underwear

Stripes can go in several different directions. The epitome of striped underwear would register as something for a casual businessman – mid 30s or older, maybe the same age as your father. They’re more mature and often designed in dark, neutral tones. This Underwear Expert exclusive photo shoot by Jerrad Matthew captures 13 pairs of striped underwear on model Jared North. It’s a testament to the versatility of a “simple” pair of striped underwear.

The more classic designs come from brands such as Blackspade and Calvin Klein. Blackspade plays with the width of its stripes for a contemporary take on the most classic stripes. The Calvin Klein boxer brief, on the other hand, is an optical illusion. It looks purple, but it’s really a weave of cobalt and red orange stripes.

James Tudor and Aware Soho, both British underwear brands, take black and red stripes, and contrast them with white waistbands. However it’s accents like a three-button fly that keep the James Tudor pair miles from ordinary. The sportiest tracks are left by Jor and Agacio. Dark colors are long gone and replaced with pastels and white.

The sexy pair with a zipper fly is from the Male Power Radial Sport Collection. The stripes are a dual tone and placed on the back burner. Not to imply that the burner isn’t on high. The stripes zip zag for a unique twist, and one that enhances the underwear’s shape.
