Winded With Wimberly: Full-Body Dumbbell

This week we bring you another fitness post from Jason Wimberly, trainer to the stars and creator of Wimberlean. Jason has a body that’s beyond great, so you know he’s knowledgable. With a background in dancing and group fitness, he brings us work outs and exercises that are designed to sculpt away fat and build up muscle. His philosophy centers on perfect form, posture, and balance.

Looking through the gallery below, you’ll see Jason performing a full-body dumbbell lift. This is a full-body power move not only works a lot of different muscle groups, but also elevated your heart rate. Do this move right and your legs, glutes, core, chest, biceps, and shoulders will all be burning, and you’ll thank yourself for it.

This lift starts with a move similar to a squat. You hold the dumbbells up as you sit in a deep squat. As you stand up, keep your knees behind your toes and bring your elbows close to your waist. From there you go into a shoulder press. And then on the way down, you hit the ground in a plant position. You will use your chest during this push-up portion. Finally, use your legs to lift the weight and to stand back up before starting the whole exercise again.
