Best Yoga Underwear Top

Gordon S. from London: Dear Underwear Experts, I go to yoga class twice a week, and I do yoga daily at home. I’ve had some trouble finding decent underwear that keeps everything in place, but also lets me move and stay comfortable. Do you have any yoga underwear advice?

The Underwear Expert: Gordon, you are not alone. Any guy who frequently yogas will be familiar with your problem. You don’t want your junk flopping around everywhere, but you also need freedom of movement and comfort. Luckily, there are a few brands focusing on solving this underwear riddle.

The most obvious solution is the C-IN2 Yoga Collection. There’s a Plank Short ($60) and a Plank Pant ($74), both of which are designed to fit closer to the legs and help keep your most precious parts  in place. The performance enhancing nylon stretch fabric is cool, light and fast drying. As if that weren’t enough, the C-IN2 Yoga Collection comes in great colors based on the sun-bleached beaches along the Mediterranean.

Another good choice would be the Under Armour Mesh Boxerjock ($22). Under Armour isn’t just for American football stars.  The boxer briefs have a smooth, chafe-free flatlock seam construction so that your boys won’t get scuffed up. What’s more, the collection includes a highly stretchable performance waistband.

If you want something less “in your face” with respect to color, we would recommend the Tommy John Cool Cotton boxer brief ($31). You still get sweat wicking and comfort, but you get it from an understated,  stylish boxer brief.

Finally, if you happen to be among the many 2xist fanatics, we suggest trying the Speed No-Show Brief ($22). It’s made from the brand’s signature, high-performance (X)-Pel Wicking Fabric. The brief has high leg openings and sits below the hip, which will help you move more easily.
