Based in Ventura, CA, Patagonia Underwear is part of the Patagonia clothing company’s high-end outdoor clothing and gear. The company’s roots are in clothing for rock and alpine climbing but they also offer a diverse mix of apparel targeted towards skiers, surfers, climbers and others.
Patagonia Underwear features a moisture-wicking, lightweight fabric. The Patagonia Underwear Men line includes briefs, boxer briefs, long johns and boxer shorts. Formfitting and comfortable, the briefs and boxer briefs are made from lightweight recycled polyester double-knit rib fabric that stretches and recovers easily. The soft, brushed elastic waistband is tagless for itch-free comfort. The elastic leg openings offer a supple, chafe-free fit. The Patagonia long johns are made from a blend of polyester and spandex with Gladiodor odor control for the garment and 50+ UPF sun protection. A fan favorite, the boxer shorts are made from a lightweight, super silky polyester for all-day, next-to-skin comfort. The Patagonia Underwear Men line features basic colors such as blue, black and grey.
Founded by Yvon Chouinard in 1972, Patagonia Clothing offers many varieties of outdoor apparel. One of its main product lines is the Capilene base layer clothing. Patagonia Clothing recently started making surfing specific products and currently has three different lines of wetsuits and many different models of swim trunks.
Though Patagonia Clothing is considered to be a sport-specific apparel manufacturer, some of the company’s most popular products are general apparel. Patagonia fleeces, rain jackets and coats are some of the most widely worn products in the outdoor apparel industry. Patagonia received two National Geographic Adventure Blog “Gear of the Year” awards in 2010 and holds “Editor’s Choice” and “Top Pick” awards from OutdoorGearLab.
Patagonia is a major contributor to environmental groups. Patagonia commits 1% of their total sales or 10% of their profit to environmental groups since 1985.
