Founded in 2007 by David Laing, Boy Rio initially concentrated on swimwear but following its success, the brand decided to expand into underwear. The Boy Rio underwear collection was released in 2010 and has since taken off. Boy Rio is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona and seeks to bring men between the ages of 18 to 50 high quality products, tasteful styles and excellent fits in their underwear. The collection offers variety while still retaining masculine tones.
Boy Rio underwear colors and designs aim to be sophisticated yet unique without the need for bold colors and prints. Brazilian themes in the brand’s collections are often used such as the colors of the Brazilian flag. The brand stays true to the spirit of Brazil by offering low-rise briefs, short boxer briefs and jockstraps in its underwear collection. The Xtreme jockstrap and Xtreme low-cut briefs are the brand’s top sellers. Underwear fabrics include spandex, cotton and microfibers in order to guarantee comfort and the right fit.
New products are released twice a year from Boy Rio featuring new cuts, colors and fabrics. Laing also designs all product lines as the brand’s creative director.
