Destination: Joshua Tree National Park

Because we’ve all faced the question of what to do on a summer weekend, or what to plan for a longer getaway, this season we’ll be suggesting some destinations and activities that you can enjoy in the warm weather while wearing your favorite brands. Our first destination: Joshua Tree National Park. For the trip, we’ve selected a few key pieces from brands Wood, N2N, and Marcuse.

Those unfamiliar with the park should first know is that it’s comprised of not one but two deserts, and that’s why we’re bringing along the N2N Spartan Brief. Made not too far west of the park, in Los Angeles, the built-out pouch, comfort, and support of the brief, along with its 95% cotton and 5% spandex material, will help it and you stand up to a long hike through Lost Horse Mine, or the Lost Palms Oasis Trail, where, conspicuously, you’ll even find some palm trees.

Did we mention that, after a day of hiking through the desert, you were happy that you decided to stay at the campground with the swimming pool? There’s no swimming Joshua Tree, unless you happen to find a true oasis, but Marcuse Puppy, made of the finest Italian fabric, will treat you right after a day of exerting yourself on the trails. The dangerously low cut of these swim briefs will feel less intimidating than the rock faces you confronted in the heat.

The wind in the Mojave Desert is one of its greatest features, and if the desert floor gets cool and wind blows, you’ll be happy you packed your Wood Lounge Short. With ultra soft Lenzing fabric, these shorts are essentials for outdoor evenings, and you can walk around the campground in the morning wearing nothing else.

We’ll be interested to know how your trip went and how you enjoyed Wood, N2N, and Marcuse in the desert. Let us know in the comments below or by tweeting us @underwearexpert.
