Doing Good Wearing Wood

Good Wearing Wood

This month has seen a lot of Wood doing good and good wearing Wood. Wood sponsored several charity events this month, working to support the local community. As a sponsor for the Echoes of Hope Annual Celebrity Shootout, Wood Underwear helped to bring attention to the needs of foster youth. And over the St. Patrick’s Day Weekend, Wood sponsored a retired police officer’s game in the South Bay Police & Firemen Memorial Foundation’s Annual Golf Tournament, which raises funds for fallen and wounded officers.

Celebrities and professional athletes teamed up for The Echoes of Hope Annual Luc Robitaille Celebrity Shootout. The event, geared toward shedding light on foster youth needs, featured family friendly games both on and off the ice. Participants joined NHL hockey players to practice their stick skills and root for their favorite player in a seriously competitive celebrity match. In attendance were some of the NHL’s best, including host Luc Robitaille, a retired Canadian hockey player best known for his time with the LA Kings. Wood Underwear has been a proud sponsor of the fundraiser for four consecutive years. While no one showed off their Wood at this family friendly event, we’re happy to know that the players were doing good wearing Wood. Echoes of Hope is making a huge impact on the lives of foster children. Wood also participated as a sponsor for the South Bay Police & Firemen Memorial Foundation’s Annual Golf Tournament this month, where players spent the day enjoying one another’s company and making birdies, eagles, and other avian scores. The foundation brings financial support to the families of police officers and firefighters who have fallen or been wounded. With the help of Wood and other sponsors of the event, the organization can continue to help the families who need it most during difficult times. We may be no Tiger Woods, but we’ll certainly drive and put in our favorite pair of Wood.

By making an effort to support the officers and the lives of foster youth, Wood shows us that they are a brand with character and one that we are happy to support.
