Whether you try and look good for other people or for yourself, a sharp (and sometimes sexy) active style can go a long way. We are firm believers that if you feel unstoppable, you’re bound to have a powerful workout. In terms of active outerwear, this means a form-fitting design that either accents your muscles or reveals them all together.
It’s no coincidence that the phrase “active fit” commonly refers to something that fits like a second skin. And when this second skin fit is applied to active outerwear, you get a sense of sex appeal with function to boot. The tight fit should allow for more fluid movement and reduce the restriction that comes with looser fitting outerwear. How is this done? It all comes down to material.
Blake Postma models two active looks by Jor in our exclusive photoshoot below. Each is made from a polyester-based blend with spandex to give it just enough stretch to hug your muscular curves. The spandex component adds some stretch factor to both looks and allows for movement in any which way.
The featured leggings by Supawear are designed similarly and also work as a base layer. They’re made with a cotton-based blend, making them slightly more insulating than Jor’s featured looks. Like Jor’s looks, the Supawear leggings add elastane for more stretch – and bring that sexy, body-hugging fit with it.
Of course for some men accenting their physique with active outwear sometimes isn’t enough. Some men want more hard-hitting sex appeal. The Rufskin Ricky leggings are made from polyester, nylon and spandex. This gives them the same flattering fit as the other active pants we feature. But what sets it apart is the “super mesh” that hugs every curve and makes the look as breathable as it is revealing.
The N2N Tritech Split Shorts are also on the revealing end for active outerwear, but they are less of a tease. These old-shoot active shorts stay close on the hips and are designed with a slit on the leg. Guys who wear shorts like this know the slit works to make the shorts more breathable and comfortable, especially during a run. They also bring their own obvious sex appeal.
And speaking of obvious sex appeal, guys who like to flaunt what they’ve got can’t go without some Andrew Christian. The same guys for guys who would rather show off their upper body. Our exclusive photoshoot also features the Andrew Christian Net Tank. The name says it all. It’s a tank made from a super find mesh net material. It’s breathable, not too loose, and not too tight. Check out the photoshoot below and see just how much heat it adds to Blake’s muscles. Hint: it can do the same for you.
