Review: Male Power Nylon Burnout Short

Clever Long Boxers

Item Reviewed: Male Power Nylon Burnout Short

About the product: The Male Power Nylon Burnout Short is a trunk made of 85% nylon and 15% spandex. These shorts are low-rise, so they sit below the waist and provide full coverage in the front and back, but, as the name suggests, these shorts don’t cover a lot of the legs. They hug the body closely and the contoured pouch gives added support in the front. The distinguishing feature is the alternating sheer and opaque design with patches of opaque preventing an entire see-through effect. There are thin elastic bands at the bottom of each leg, and the waistband, also thin, is covered in the same fabric as the rest of the underwear.

What we like: The alternating sheer and opaque design is the selling point and makes this a fun, unique pair of underwear, allowing the wearer to be a little daring without showing off too much. The material is soft and stretches with the body, so the underwear doesn’t feel constricting.

What we don’t like: While the elastic bands at the bottom of the legs are designed to help prevent the underwear from riding up, they don’t completely solve the issue, so occasional readjustment may be required. Since the underwear is partly sheer, it would look a lot nicer if there was no tag (as opposed to the long, thin tag in the back that can be seen when worn).

When we’d wear them: Date night. An anniversary. A romantic night in front of the fireplace.

Who we’d recommend them to: Someone looking for the visual effects of lace underwear but with a more masculine style.

Describe these underwear in 3 words: Sexy. Sleek. Fun.
