Review: Smuggling Duds Stealth Boxer Shorts

October Monthly Brief Roundup

Item Reviewed: Smuggling Duds Stealth Boxer Shorts

About the product: The Smuggling Duds Stealth Boxer has a mid-rise waist in navy blue fabric made of 95% cotton and 5% elastane. All of the stitchings are flat and in contrasting blue thread with a one inch waistband in blue with with the repeating SD logo in lighter blue. These boxers have no defined pouch but do offer a double button functional fly and their ‘Stash Pocket’ for holding an MP3 player, cash, credit cards or other small things. The boxers are made in India.

What we like: The Smuggling Duds Stealth Boxer cotton blend and loose fit made these comfortable, and the double button fly and contrast stitching gave them restrained style. However, the 2.5 inch square stash pocket was the feature that allowed for some fun play on what your partner could store directly next to your jewels.

What we don’t like: Smuggling Duds is making their reputation on the stash pocket, and it is fun, but these boxers fit too loosely for boxer briefs but fit too tightly for traditional boxers, making them a varied pair.

When we’d wear them: Out to a MacGyver convention, so we have somewhere to hide the Swiss Army knife.

Who we’d recommend them to: Smuggling Duds are an excellent choice for the guy who likes gadgets — and places to hide them.

Describe these underwear in three words: Pocket. Hide. Clever.
