If you’ve signed up for our Curated Underwear Club, it might seem like your favorite pairs of underwear just fall from the sky – or rather, magically appear at your door. But that’s not quite how it works. Before we even find your new favorite pairs, the creative directors and designers behind each brand first think up the designs.
Each brand puts their unique spin on the latest trends in men’s underwear. At this year’s Project Menswear Tradeshow in Las Vegas, model James Pianka, The Underwear Expert’s Style Reporter, was on hand to get a behind the scenes scoop on what’s to come from all your favorite brands. First up: 2(X)IST, de la Commune, and Parke & Ronen.
2(X)IST – Creative Director Jason Scarlatti
2(X)IST is of course known for their bold and often sexy pairs of underwear. But the brand has evolved beyond that to become a full lifestyle brand. 2(X)IST bags were introduced at the Project Menswear Tradeshow, along with plenty of micomodal looks that wick away moisture and keep you cool. Comfort goes hand-in-hand with confidence, and that’s always in style.
de la Commune – Creative Director Reese De Luca
Canadian brand de la Commune is a “men’s lifestyle loungewear brand.” Everything that comes out of the brand holds comfort as a number one priority, without skimping on style. Imagine you’re lounging at home and your friends call you up for drinks. de la Commune can transition from one to the other. Men want to be comfortable, and fashionable comfort is trending.
Parke & Ronen – Co-Founder, Co-Designer Parke Lutter
Parke & Ronen’s line-up for the Project Menswear show in Vegas shined a light on their exclusive 70’s inspired prints, their focus for the season. Parke & Ronen is a full lifestyle brand based around their swimwear, and they just recently launched their first line of underwear. And just like their other lines, the underwear has been met with praise.
