The Comfortable Boxers Co. is a startup passionate about giving men premium, high-quality underwear at a fair price. Established in 2014, founder Miguel Madrid says his goal was to “disrupt the underwear industry from their long-footed price gouging.” The company has also stated that:
“…we’ve long had to choose between over-priced, over-marketed boxers that disrespect your intelligence, and low quality, cheap boxers that disrespect your privates. So we created The Comfortable Boxers Co., founded in 2014, as a return to the essential: great underwear at a fair price. The company, brand and business model are built out of respect for guys who shouldn’t have to overpay for great underwear.”
The Comfortable Boxers Co. has a few key members. Miguel, the founder, overlooks marketing, logistics, and operations. Justin R., in charge of materials and sourcing, travels the world looking for the very best manufacturers and fabrics for the company to use. Phillip S. is overseeing all manufacturing and logistics. He maintains the quality control and material requirements for their products.
The Comfortable Boxers Co. believes that they can deliver a fine, comfortable high-quality boxer to you at less than half the market price, $14.95 to be exact. How will they achieve this? By cutting out the middle man, avoiding the use of storefront locations, and minimizing marketing costs. They know cutting these aspects of a traditional business model will allow for them to keep their final delivery costs down, therefore keeping the product price down as well. The product will be delivered to you straight from their specialized warehouse in New Jersey. All you have to do it send in your order through the website!
Their boxer briefs are mostly made up of a fabric called “modal.” According to testing by the Kawabata (KES) evaluating system, an established polymer chemistry lab in Japan, this fabric is more than twice as soft as cotton. Modal is made by spinning beech wood cellulose fibers. It’s about 50% more hygroscopic (water-absorbent) per unit of volume than cotton. Unlike cotton, mineral deposits from hard water do not stick to the fabric surface. It has a soft, silky texture, making it comfortable to wear. This modal fabric was then blended with 10% elastane fibers to create a more light, but snug, fit.
They have designed the boxer brief with reinforced cross stitching on the garment and the waistband to make it more durable. The waistband is slightly elastic without any branding and features a comfort tag. The garment also features a supportive pouch for your “loved ones.”
The Comfortable Boxers Co. will launch their kickstarter campaign in June 8th, 2015. They’re asking for your help to launch their brand, so they can provide you with a quality product at a fair price. The boxer briefs are available for pre-order on their website, and will be delivered in July 2015. They are so confident that you will love their product, that they have a 60 day return policy, allowing you to get a full refund if you aren’t 100% satisfied with their product.
The Comfortable Boxers Co. boxer briefs are available in sizes S – XXL.
