Item Reviewed: Bluebuck Grey Boxer
About the product: The Bluebuck Grey Boxer stands between a boxer brief and a traditional boxer. They provide more support and fit slightly tighter the usual pair of boxers, but don’t hug the body as closely as a pair of boxer briefs. This allows for more room and movement, particularly in the legs. The fabric of the Bluebuck Grey Boxer is made from 95% organic cotton and 5% elastic, while the elastic waistband is made from 62% cotton and 38% polyester, elastane, and polyamide. The Bluebuck Grey Boxer sits just below the waist, and extends a little more than ⅓ of the way down the leg. The contoured pouch contains a 2-button fly, which is a feature of the Boxers collection, and the waistband is characteristic of Bluebuck underwear: blue and white stripes around the waist with the company’s name and a blue antlers logo on a white patch on the front. The Boxer comes in three colors (white, navy, grey), each with two options for the color of stitching along the side.
What we like: What the Bluebuck Grey Boxer lacks in fancy colors or crazy designs, it more than make-ups for it in quality and durability. These are a solid, no-nonsense pair of underwear with the purpose of providing comfort and to last no matter what you put them through. The Bluebuck Grey Boxer feels great, and the simplicity in style gives it a classic look. Plus, the company prides itself on creating underwear with a minimal carbon footprint, so they’re also trying to help the environment. You can’t say no to that!
What we don’t like: Because the Bluebuck Grey Boxer isn’t as long as traditional boxers but still a little loose, it can ride up a bit. Luckily, since they’re not tight like boxer briefs, it’s not too much of an annoyance.
When we’d wear them: Going for a hike. Hanging out in the park. Lounging at home watching the game.
Who we’d recommend them to: A guy who likes the support of boxer briefs, but the looseness of boxers.
In three words: Quality. Durability. Environmental.
