Item Reviewed: Bluebuck Green Trunk
About the product: The Bluebuck Green Trunk sits just below the waist and extends a little more than ⅓ of the way down the leg. The contoured pouch is highlighted by white stitching along the sides that also matches the white stitching bordering the ½-inch band along the leg openings. The waistband is characteristic of Bluebuck underwear: blue and white stripes around the waist with the company’s name and blue antlers logo on a white patch on the front. The Trunks come in several solid colors, either with white or blue stitching. The Bluebuck Green Trunk is made from 95% organic cotton and 5% elastane with an elastic waistband that’s made from 62% cotton and 38% polyester, elastane and polyamide.
What we like: What the Bluebuck Green Trunk lacks in fancy colors or crazy designs, it more than make-ups for it in quality and durability. The Bluebuck Green Trunk is a solid no-nonsense pair of underwear with the purpose of providing comfort and to last no matter what you put them through. They feel great, and the simplicity in style gives them a classic look. Plus, the company prides itself on creating underwear with a minimal carbon footprint – so, they’re trying to help the planet. How can you say no to that? The white stitching provides a nice color contrast to the otherwise solid green underwear.
What we don’t like: The Bluebuck Green Trunk can ride up a little if you’re sitting for long periods of time, but it’s not too annoying, thanks to the soft fabric and the way the underwear fits.
When we’d wear them: A day trip out in the woods. Hanging at a friend’s place. Sunday errands.
Who we’d recommend them to: An environmentally-conscious guy looking for a basic boxer brief that will last and provide comfort.
In three words: Quality. Durability. Environmental.
