In the latest chapter of Modus Vivendi’s 2015 Round-the-World campaign, the Greek brand shared the Modus Vivendi Navy Line with Canadian photographer Kevin Slack, who lives and works in Cuba, where he has a second home. Slack worked with four different models — Ricardo, Luis, Angel, Omar and Jean—as well as with stylist Marlon Solomon to bring to life the Modus Vivendi Navy Line’s aquatic flavor.
The Modus Vivendi Navy Line pulled straight from the sea here, combining aqua, turquoise and white together with cotton, modal and elastane to recolor some of the brand’s most sought-after styles: the Sumo Brief ($30), the Archaic Brief ($22.30) and the Langot ($28.50). Also included are a boxer design ($25.50) and a longer, langot-esque converter boxer ($27.50), as well as a tank and an ultra-loungey pair of long skirt shorts.
Slack shot his five sailors — and the underwear — at Cuba’s scenic Mi Cayito beach, and the results channel all the rugged refined-ness of any nation’s navy. Lounging against sunken pylons and chopped-off palm trees, Cuban cigars in hand, all these men need are their ship. Slack sets them up waiting for the tide and the U.S.S. Modus Vivendi.
