Parker & Pine began and succeeded as a Canadian Plus Sized company. Targeting “the fashion conscious big man,” they create modern and high-quality menswear basics made to flatter and properly fit men of a larger size. But starting this summer, things are going to change at Parker & Pine. Not only will new imagery be revealed, but so will pairs of underwear for all sizes.
Similar to other brands, Parker & Pine underwear is designed with flat lock stitching for a seamless finish, and a contoured pouch for added support, comfort, and definition. Parker & Pine’s choice of fabric – Tencel – also adds to the underwear’s comfort. It’s more absorbent than cotton, anti-microbial, and has a luxurious, silky feel.
Design aspects that cater to the larger man sets Parker & Pine’s underwear apart. A longer inseam is used to reduce chafing. An angled waistband sits higher in the back so the wearer can avoid having to pull up his underwear. A mesh zone is also strategically placed where you don’t want any moisture build-up. It makes the brand’s underwear more breathable, more functional, and better at staying consistently fresh.
How exactly did Parker & Pine learn to cater to the bigger man? The brand’s design process starts with market research.
