Like their other underwear designs, the Marcuse Peep Briefs ($15.75) have a classic-meets-sporty attitude with a flattering cut worthy of a double take. But where their other collections stick to a masculine, jock-ish sort of sex appeal, the Marcuse Peep underwear likes to have a little more fun. Available in four colors, each is designed with a horizontal fly front. Open it, and you find a cheeky hidden message inside.
The Marcuse Peep Briefs have a low-rise hipster cut that comes in sky blue, red, white, and yellow. Made from a blend of cotton and elastane, each Peep Brief is accented with a wide white waistband and trim along the legs and pouch. The waistband also has a little flash with a 3D metallic logo. The white trim comes back to highlight the horizontal fly pouch, thick and curved for an added stylish flair. And while its athletic design scores the Marcuse Peep line some high style points, it’s the hidden messages that let you know how the game is played.
Open the fly on the red Peep Brief and you find “Welcome Back!” printed behind the contrasting white trim. The Sky Blue Peep Brief is just as welcoming with a big “Hello!!!” inside its pouch. The White Peep Brief – which is also the only pair designed with a black contrasting trim – goes back to the brand’s Australian roots with “G’day Stranger!” And while the idea of a stranger peeping at your underwear’s pouch is intriguing (to say the least) the Yellow Peep Brief still feels more suggestive. Open that pair’s fly and you aren’t so much greeted as you are told to “Enjoy!” And when you see the Peep Briefs on model Stephen Morris, you won’t need to be told twice.
Photographed my Russell Fleming, the images below capture Stephen in each Peep Brief. He’s got the muscles to make the red and white Peep Briefs look even sportier. And something about his look (probably his boyish charm) makes the Sky Blue Peep Brief even cuter.
