Plaid Underwear Your Collection Is Missing

Milkman Hardman Brief

Plaid is one of the most common underwear designs, aside from solids. Open any “Average Joe’s” underwear drawer, and you will likely find one plaid boxer short. And while plaid and boxer shorts seem like a match made in heaven, we all know the men’s underwear market is larger than that, and full of surprises.

Several brands have released tartan and plaid underwear designs that refresh the prints. Most of the underwear designs are predominantly plaid, featuring a patterned underwear body and solid waistband. 2(X)IST flipped this on it’s head, restricting an attractive, modern tartan to their Tartan Collection’s waistband. Bodyaware also put an interesting twist on plaid, pairing it with lace and animal print.

This roundup is all about plaid and tartan. We focused on the newer and more inventive looks. But we couldn’t call this list complete without some classics from Calvin Klein and Hugo Boss.

Is plaid one of your preferred underwear designs? How do you wear plaid during the spring? Let us know in the comments below, or by tweeting us @underwearexpert.
