Lateral box jumps are a plyometric exercise that targets your adductors. Go Green demonstrates the exercise in this Instagram video and shows how simple they really are. The key to making this exercise effective is your speed and how much of a squat you put into your jump. You will also, of course, need enough power in your jump for your feet to pass over the box.
Because speed is so important to lateral box jumps, pay attention to how long Go Green rests on the box during the jump. He is on it for just a moment before jumping off. This keeps everything fluid and stops his muscles from getting a chance to relax. And while these jumps mainly target your adductors, they also work your butt, calves, quads, and hamstrings.
