GO Green Fit: Deadlifts

Blue Code Swimwear

Go Green goes back to deadlifts in this Instagram video, but for this workout, he takes his time to maximize the benefits. He lifts 300 lbs. for eight minutes, doing five reps every minute on the minute. If you only ever add one power lift to your exercise routine, deadlifts are the one you want. They aren’t difficult to do once you master the form, and they condition your entire body.

Your lower back does most of the work when performing deadlifts. You’ll want to focus on your hip flexors to get the move just right. And if you use your hip flexors correctly while doing a deadlift, your core will reap some of the benefits from the movement as well. Our advice: thing of your hips like a hinge and keep looking forward.
