Go Green demonstrates a snatch and a clean and jerk in this Instagram video. Clean and jerks are a great Olympic powerlifting move that targets multiple muscles. While your shoulders do most of the work, clean and jerks also work your abs, glutes, lower back, hamstrings, quads, traps, and triceps. Targeting all of these is a great way to tone your entire body and improve strength.
What makes clean and jerks especially great is that they target your lower back and your abs. If a carved out core is one of your fitness goals, proper form is a must for any ab workout. By hitting those two areas, clean and jerks also give you the muscles you need for better posture.
