Spanish brand ES Collection invents a new breed of urban heartthrob with the ES Spring/Summer 2014 Downtown Collection. The range is an ensemble of streetwear and sportswear that revamps the brand’s image, catering to the urbanite whose life revolves in the center of a buzzing city. Photographer Rick Day directed the photoshoot in New York. Standing on rooftops and in grungy alleys, the men of the Downtown Collection are sexy and metropolitan. They look great in the clothing, and great slipping out of it.
The men are wearing high cut shorts in bright, popping colors. There’s no need for shirts — the shorts and their abs are eye-catching enough. There is also a pair of white jeans in the collection, and a tatted city dweller who completely owns the look. There is also a striped, sailor-esque tank that is paired with a pair of denim shorts. Another look even includes camo bottoms, both pants and shorts. For tops, there is a solid black tee with a deep v-neck, and a pink shirt with a black cross print.
The men who wear the looks all have that city edge with a sharp fashion sense. One of the sexiest photos in the set is of a model in blue jeans and a blue baseball hat. He evokes a city jock who plays baseball on the weekend, and during the week works near the top floor of an office building. And the tattooed model pulling off those white shorts — a totally city boy you just want to break your heart.
