Item Reviewed: Malebasics Hound Brief
About The Product: By combining two classics, the brief and the Houndstooth, or “Prince of Wales” pattern, Malebasics creates an original as part of their Geometric Collection. The enlarged pattern is printed on the material in black on white fabric and accentuated by a red band and trim. The band is 1½ inches with Malebasics written across the front and the logo in the center of the back. The briefs feature a closed, contoured pouch. The undergarment is designed in Canada and made in Colombia from cotton (93%) and Spandex (7%).
What We Like: At first the design seemed excessive, but quickly became our favorite part. Keeping up with the trend of patterned underwear, the design gives the briefs a fun spirit without making them childish, which is difficult. The colors contrast strongly and draw attention to that region. They are comfortable to wear, aptly combining form and function.
What We Didn’t Like: Sizing. Buy a size up and you’ll have the right fit.
Who We’d Recommend Them To: Fashionable guys, guys who like ornate underwear that isn’t decorated with cartoons, guys looking to spruce up their top drawer.
When We’d Wear Them: When we knew they were going to be seen.
