Spring Trend: Pastels

Easter egg season is fast approaching, and we could not be more ready to soak in the warm breezes of spring. Picnics in the park, cocktails by the beach, lazy city afternoons with nowhere to be… it’s pretty ideal, and nearly impossible not to be in a good mood while the sun is shining and the colors are light. What better way to get in the mindset than with one of the best trends of the year? Pastels have always been a spring staple, and this year is no exception to the rule.

teamm8’s Jump collection mixes vibrant red and neutral white with pastel blue and yellow for a modern, playful look whether you’re a brief (AU $29) man or prefer a trunk (AU $33). Frank Dandy’s black waistband contrasts nicely with a pastel pink on their Paint Job Boxer ($29). We also love the blue version from the same line, with contrasting purple waistband, from the hip, exciting brand.

If you like your pastels a little more subdued, the next few brands have you covered. Rounderbum’s Anatomic collection has two great boxers ($22.50) in yellow and mint with grey accents. They’re form-fitting to allow body definition and a sexy all-around look. Likewise, Go Softwear’s California Colors line includes the Syngery Trunk ($25), which features horizontal stripes in green, pink, and blue. This boxer brief has a front fly and full cut back, providing all day comfort. Loving grey accents? Marek + Richard’s Core Brief ($22.50) in pink is perfect for spring. Another Underwear Expert favorite, Tani, features their Fresh Trunk ($50) in Silver Red — a pale, dusty pink color we can’t get enough of. The fact that it happens to be made out of the softest fibers around doesn’t hurt, either.

Sometimes, there’s nothing like a good, traditional pastel, however. Jor’s Shake collection has a mint and a pink color option that we love, available in boxer ($22.90) or brief ($21.90). The always fun and playful Andrew Christian has a multitude of products to choose from, but we’re especially into the Almost Naked Boxer W/ Show-It ($24.93) in pink, which features a “Comfy Cup,” and is designed to make you feel like you aren’t wearing anything at all, as well as the Andrew Christian Tighty Whitie Punked Boxer W/ Show-It Tech. ($18.93) in sky blue. Topman offers a 3 pack of pastel trunks ($25) made out of 100% super smooth cotton — why buy 1 when you can have 3? — and Oiler & Boiler also feature 2 and 4 packs of their Nantucket style shorts in pastel shades (£24.99 and £41.99, respectively). American Apparel’s Organic Baby Rib Boxer Brief ($16) in pomegranate and white is ideal.
