Let’s face it: sometimes the commercials that are aired during the Super Bowl are better than the game itself, and it seems this year’s lineup of ads has gotten much hotter.
David Beckham Bodywear’s Spring 2014 ad campaign will air for the first time during the Super Bowl XLVIII on February 2nd. It appears that Beckham will be running around town once again in only his underwear — that is, until after he shows up to a photo shoot naked. See the teaser for the commercial below, which asks if you want to see the soccer stud #covered or #uncovered. Fans are then asked to vote on the two different versions, and the winning commercial will air during the second quarter of the Super Bowl.
The commercial was directed by Nicolas Winding Refn who is known for his crime thriller, Drive. Beckham channeled Ryan Gosling’s stunt character’s ways for the commercial because he ziplines off a roof and scales buildings in Parkour style in just his boxer briefs. “I loved working with David for his new campaign,” Refn said in an H&M statement on Thursday. “He is a natural in front of the camera, and was fearless when performing his own stunts. The campaign is funny, smart, and spectacular, and shows the many different sides of David’s personality.”
