One glance at the lookbook for the Fall/Winter 2013 Happy Socks collection and you will begin to see why the brand’s socks are indeed “happy.” The models in the photographs come from various walks of life. They are business men, hippies, skaters, and artists. Though different, they are bound together by one combed cotton thread: the thread of embracing life to the fullest and not being afraid to have a little fun.
Happy Socks Fall/Winter collection, like many of its previous collections, is a lot of fun. A description of the socks will make you feel like you are a kid reading Dr. Suess for the first time. There are animal prints and rose prints. Argyle ones and paisley ones. Some are striped while others have dots. There are some with five colors and even camouflage. But, that’s just the tip of the iceberg for this diverse collection.
The socks are made of either two fabrics: wool and combed cotton. The wool socks are typical for the upcoming season in places where the cold weather bites the harshest. During production, long, comfy fibers remain in the cotton blend while small ones fall out during spinning. Then, the cotton is woven on Italian Lonati machines, making the cotton sock ideal for comfort.
