Rufskin debuts its new swimwear range inspired by the Catalonian regions of Southern France and Spain. Currently available, the Rufskin Catalan swimwear collection consists of several styles such as the Cadaques trunk ($48), Lligant brief ($53), Jacint trunk ($51), Pablo trunk ($54), Miro trunk ($54), Tierra trunk ($54), Salvador ($46) and Port muscle shirt ($58).
The Rufskin 2013 spring/summer collection weaves together the essence, colors and sensibility of Catalonia. Hubert Pouches, owner and head designer of Rufskin, goes back to his roots, inspired by the aesthetics of the region that is also home to Salvador Dali, Joan Miro and Pablo Picasso. Paying homage to Catalonia, the collection interprets the region’s culture and people through the lens of men’s clothing.
“We are now a more settled brand, and this collection is about where you come from and what you really like, an affirmation of what we are all about,” said Pouches. “The traveling we do. All the elements came together quickly and then we went for it. From there to swim, we took everything around Catalonia.”
The Rufskin Catalan swimwear collection features bold color combinations such as three shades of blue that evoke the colors of the ocean. The briefs and trunks are made from a body-hugging microfiber blend of 80% nylon and 20% spandex. The swimwear features a sexy European low-rise cut and unique design details such as contrasting metal clasps on the high-cut hips of the Salvador briefs.
The Rufskin Catalan swimwear collection is available in S-L.
