Lupo, a Brazilian-based brand, introduces its new collection of Sunga trunks, which are retailed under $25. Currently available, the Lupo Sunga trunks feature a low-rise cut and classic colors inspired by the popular swimwear style of Brazil.
Commonly worn at Brazil’s beaches, Sungas are flat in the front and worn loosely on the waist and tighter on the legs. Lupo applies the same design aesthetic to its range of Sunga trunks, which are offered in unique textures and classic colors such as red, blue, green, black and white.
“We apply a Brazilian approach to all of our designs,” Malcolm Finlayson, a North American representative for Lupo, told The Underwear Expert. “We like vibrant colors. Brazilians love color because they are always outdoors. We are bringing you the best from Brazil. This collection is an ongoing genesis of Brazilian style.”
The Lupo Sunga trunks feature a wide variety of fabric blends such as cotton and microfiber to achieve an ultra soft feel and body defining fit.
Well known throughout Brazil, Lupo is expanding its global presence, including North America. The brand was founded 90 years ago as a sock company but expanded in ensuing years to incorporate all apparel including men’s underwear. The year 1921, when the company was founded, is printed on the waistband and left leg of the newly released trunks.
The trunks are available in S-XL.
