Jockey’s Spring 2013 Collections Unveiled

Offering a sneak peak of its upcoming range of men’s underwear, Jockey International staged a fashion show at the Museum of Arts & Design in New York City last week to showcase Jockey’s Spring 2013 collections.

The latest updates to Jockey’s Modern, Sport and Classic ranges include new fabrics, colors and fits. “We have new solutions for a modern consumer,” said Sean Radford, head designer for Jockey’s men’s underwear. “This is a new direction for a younger minded consumer.”

Jockey elevates its sports performance underwear with innovative fabrics and unique features. Establishing a new identity for its Sport collection, Jockey also came up with new color options and low-key branding on the waistband. “We’re raising the bar and taking Sport to another level,” said Radford.

Providing optimum moisture wicking performance, Jockey introduced a new double-face fabric of cotton and micro polyester to the Sport collection. For increased comfort and breathability, the range will also feature ergonomically placed mesh panels and a horizontal fly.

“Jockey has a long history of working with athletes,” said Mo Moorman, director of public relations for Jockey. “For Jockey’s spring 2013 athletic performance underwear, we are taking it to another level as an underwear authority.”

Adopting sophisticated color trends seen in men’s fashion, Jockey introduced two color updates. Capitalizing on the current popularity of white, Jockey debuted its new diamond white color to several of its ranges. Experimenting with bolder colors, Jockey’s Modern collection of woven, knitted boxer shorts will feature plaids in bright hues with contrasting waistbands. “We have played with the color,” said Radford. “We wanted to make this unique and fun.”

In addition to presenting hip, new looks, Jockey has maintained its commitment to comfort and fit. For the Spring 2013 collection, the brand offers refined trims, low-rise fits and sculpted shape pouches for maximum support. “We have not compromised on comfort,” said Radford. “Jockey is all about comfort. Everyone would be proud to wear these garments.”
