Madonna Badger, the advertising executive behind Mark Wahlberg’s famous Cavin Klein underwear ads, has lost her three children, parents, and home in a Christmas morning fire.
According to The New York Times, Ms. Badger and a family friend managed to flee from the house, her screams for help overheard by neighbors awakened by the late night inferno. The fire that swept through her 100 year old Victorian home in Stamford, Connecticut was reported at 5:00 AM Christmas morning. Badger and a male companion escaped safely.
“My whole life is in that house,” Ms. Badger shouted, as she was led away by firefighters.
Madonna Badger, who created New York City-based fashion advertising firm Badger & Winters Group in her 20’s, has worked at Allure and Mirabella magazines and began her career as the art department secretary at Esquire magazine, according to her former boss, Rip Georges.
“She didn’t have a design background, but the thing I remember the most about Madonna is that she was really a quick study and very ambitious,” Georges said.
