Nasty Pig Takes Over Chelsea…Again!

Nasty Pig, the brand New Yorkers — and everyone else — has come to love, is making big moves this year.

This menswear brand has called Chelsea its home for the past 20 years and they are moving to a brand new location to open a new Flagship Store. Nasty Pig and Chelsea have a long standing history together, so they are not moving far from their original store location, jut 30 yards away at 259 West 19th Street.

Nasty Pig Covert Brief

“We were here in 1994, when Chelsea took off the first time, and now we’re here to lead Chelsea’s rebirth as a fashion destination. To tell the truth, we think maybe Barney’s chose to return to the neighborhood just to be around the block from us,” CEO David Lauterstein said in a press release. “Welcome back!”

To launch the brand new store, Nasty Pig is holding a Grand Opening event over the weekend of February 14-16. Expect DJs – DJ Corey Craig on 2/14 from 5-9 pm and DJ Nita Aviance on 2/15 from 3-7 pm – Nasty Pig models, the premier of the Spring 2014 collection, and free jock with any purchase. The entire weekend will be hosted by Jay Roth, who is easily recognized by his goods appearing on Nasty Pig packaging.

Massive Nasty Pig Sale

Also, anticipate a whole new space and concept that was designed by Bohn Architecture & Design, that is twice the size of their previous store. The 1,000 square feet space perfectly matches the hardness and masculinity of the brand with weathered concrete, glass, wood and exposed brick. The new store also has a back deck for customers to lounge during warmer months, and they have refocused on customer experience using tablets for speedy checkout, and additional changing rooms and extra seating.

“We wanted to give our customers the best possible Nasty Pig shopping experience,” said Lauterstein. “We’ve upgraded everything, from the lighting, to the dressing rooms, to the layout. The only thing we’re keeping the same is the vibe.  The carry is perfection!”
