How To Stay Fresh and Avoid Jock Itch

During a heat wave the last thing you want to worry about is whether or not your junk has any extra funk. This isn’t just a grooming habit that some prefer for aesthetic reasons, it actually serves a purpose by reducing groin sweat and jock itch. Just be careful with your choice of hair removal as shaving can cause chaffing. Some better options include trimming with a pair of grooming scissors or an electric trimmer.

The next step is to apply a powder that is specifically designed to address jock itch. There are lots of different brands and formulas on the market these days which means you have plenty of options. All of these powders have been designed to absorb moisture, reduce friction, mask unpleasant odors, and keep the skin clear of bacteria. One more thing to remember throughout the summer is to wash your clothes before wearing them again. Especially clothes that you’ve been sweating heavily in. Forget trying to get to two wears out of workout gear, even shorts and especially underwear.
