Up-and-coming Mexican underwear and swimwear brand, Bshi whose motto is, “barely naked, confident enough,” released their very first campaign for Summer 2013. To capture the spirit of Bshi, the brand along with model Rodrigo Sahagun and photographer Memo Cota set out in search of the best beaches Mexico has to offer for a backdrop. They landed on the beaches of Bahia de Kino and Punta Chueca, Sonora, Mexico. Along their travels they came across the Seri Tribe who added a touch of paint on Rodrigo’s face just like they do to celebrate their New Year.
Realizing that there are too few Mexican brands that represent the underwear industry is how the idea of Bshi was conceived and three friends made that realization come true with their first line and campaign. The collection is super comfortable and flexible, as we can tell from Rodrigo’s action shots. Also, it looks as if the brand is using their nation’s love for color in their styles as we spot blinding magentas, pearlescent whites, ocean blues and slates. The garments appear to be well-structured featuring contrasting piping that contours to body and highlights our favorite parts of the male figure, showing this team knows exactly what they are doing.
