Launched in July 2012 by Alan Hayes and Brian Gould, Urban Active made international headlines when the company sent 100 pairs of its new pro-stretch trunks to Prince Harry after partially naked photos appeared of the royal Brit surfaced on the Internet.
Urban Active believes you can tell a lot about a person by their underwear. With that firmly in mind, the brand intends to keep you fresh, cool and comfortable, and in quality fabrics at affordable prices. Urban Active also prides itself for being an ethical company, and adhering to FSC, ISO, UKAS and Oeko-Tex Standards.
The brand offers one style: trunks, which are offered black, white and grey. These trunks also include stylish 4.5-centimeter metallic waistbands. “We wanted to make it affordable and at the same time to make it urban and active,” said Hayes.
A few weeks after delivering underwear to Prince Harry, Urban Active took its marketing campaign one step further when its sent off-duty members of the British Air Force to stroll the streets of Liverpool wearing only Urban Active trunks. As the underwear-clad men drew a crowd of onlookers, the brand staged an exclusive photo shoot. Urban Active also plans to provide a celebratory range for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
