More About Saxx
Saxx designs underwear to prevent contact between a man’s package and inner thighs. Saxx offers an ergonomic comfort pouch with two parallel mesh panels that offer an ideal barrier. Plus, the brand’s contour pouch has no internal seam and extra room to promote a natural resting position.
Trent Kitch, an athlete and an MBA student at the Richard Ivey School of Business at UWO, founded the brand in 2006 on the need to make men’s underwear more comfortable. Kitch came up with the idea for Saxx Underwear while on a fishing trip off the coast of Alaska, where he experienced extreme irritation while wearing a survival suit for three days to withstand the harsh weather conditions.
Kitsch envisioned a new design in men’s underwear that would prevent contact and be more comfortable. With the help of a fashion designer and input from professional athletes, Kitsch developed the concept for comfort side panels that create a hammock-like effect.
Today, Saxx Underwear offers a variety of styles that include:
- Saxx Briefs
- Saxx Boxer briefs
- Saxx Boxers
The brand updates its collections with new colors, styles and prints each season. Saxx utilizes a wide variety of fabrics such as cotton, modal, spandex, nylon, polyester and viscose to achieve ideal comfort and support.
Saxx Underwear generated national exposure on TV shows such as the CBC television show Dragons’ Den and an endorsement from actor Taylor Kitsch. Numerous professional athletes testify to wearing Saxx Underwear on and off the field. Saxx continues to make team sales to Major League Baseball teams such as the Los Angeles Dodgers, Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks.
