Taylor Lautner

Taylor Lautner is an American actor, best known for his role as “Jacob” in the Twilight movies. Born February 11, 1992 in Grand Rapids Michigan, Taylor Lautner was heavily involved in karate throughout junior high school. He signed with an agency and would regularly fly from Michigan to Los Angeles to audition for roles. In 2002, Taylor Lautner moved with his family to California. His received attention for his roles in Robert Rodriguez’s “The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D” and “Cheaper by the Dozen 2,” both of which received negative reviews.

Despite the critical failure of both films, Taylor Lautner’s popularity was already beginning to rise when he appeared in the first Twilight movie. His costar, Kristen Stewart, was apparently one of his most vocal supporters and was integral in landing him the role. After spending much of his screen time in the Twilight films without a shirt, Taylor Lautner became a household name, known for his exceptional physique even as a teenager. His fitness landed him on the cover of Men’s Health Magazine for an issue that discussed his work out regimen.

Not a naturally large man, Taylor Lautner stands at 5’10” and weighed around 140 pounds before he started training for the Twilight films. In less than a year, the actor had added 30 pounds of muscle to his frame, a truly inspirational story for anyone of smaller stature who is looking to bulk up.
