Workout attire is all about keeping you comfortable while you break a sweat. You want something that’s breathable. You want something that fits not too loose and not too tight. The goal is to be able to move freely. And it just so happens that the best workout wear shows off that body you’ve been working hard to maintain. But you don’t want to be seen wearing the same workout clothes at the gym every time. Just like your casual wear, you want a good variety in your rotation. We kick things off with the PUMP! True Blue Brief ($28) for this week’s Complete The Look: PUMP!. Check out where we take the brief below.
The PUMP! True Blue Brief (1) has a masculine and sporty design. But what makes it great for the gym is its material. The cup is made of cotton, but the rest is made of a nylon micromesh that makes it light and breathable. It’s also designed with reinforced leg elastic to fit perfectly snug and prevent any uncomfortable riding up. Wear them on a run or during a weightlifting session.
Next, we put on the Patagonia ‘Strider Pro’ Stretch Woven Running Shorts in Underwater Blue (2). Their shorter length is perfect for any kind of workout, and the stretch material allows for a close fit without feeling restricting. Cardio gets your whole body burning, and these will help keep you cool. And as an extra, incidental bonus, they show off your legs.
After that we bring it back to PUMP! with their Frost Tank (3). The PUMP! Frost Tank is also made from a mesh material, making it breathable and easy to move in. Adding to that athletic style is the jersey-style text on the back, PUMP! places like a last name, and 21 placed like a jersey number. And because it’s a tank, you’ll be showing off those muscles.
We stick with PUMP! for our socks. The PUMP! All-Sport Grey Socks (4) are odor resistant and built with mesh ventilation to keep things dry. A cushioned sole also adds comfort to the socks, making them a great choice for running, or even commuting. They’re also designed with arch and ankle support.
Finishing up our gym look, we throw on the Nike ‘Lunarglide 7’ Running Shoe in Squadron Blue/Silver/Lagoon (6). The chose this shoe not just because it’s made for running; the colors work perfectly with our outfit, and play off of them without being too matchy. The grey looks great against the cool baby blue of our tank, and the bolder blue of our shorts. But we aren’t done yet.
Everyone needs a gym bag of some sort to carry their change of clothes in. The Thule Thile ‘Chasm’ Duffel Bag in Mist (7) is big enough to hold all of the things you need and small enough to fit inside a typical gym locker. The Mist color options also goes well with our outfit, but it is neutral enough to be the only gym bag you need.
