The CONFIDENTial Black Brief: For Everyone’s Eyes

Black3Feature

A black brief is a one-two punch of fashion-forward thinking. Everyone looks good in black, and men look good in briefs – whether that’s their go-to underwear style or not. Keep it sleek with a few accents and you get effortless elegance; make it narrow and revealing, and your black brief becomes something dark and sexy for date night; or you can keep it right in the middle for a casual, everyday pair of underwear that won’t disappoint if you get lucky.

Model and YouTube personality Eric Angelo models 8 black briefs in The Underwear Expert’s exclusive photoshoot below. Each black brief he wears comes at the underwear style from an entirely different angle. From casual to come-hither, this is proof a black brief is the essential underwear style for any man. Briefs tend to get a bad rep from men – mostly straight – for exposing too much skin. But since when were your thighs your naughty bits? Gay or straight, reserved or rowdy, there’s a black brief you’ve never so confident in.

Our photoshoot’s most discrete black brief designs come form Calvin Klein, Supawear and, believe it or not, Andrew Christian. Calvin Klein and Andrew Christian both design their black briefs with a hip-brief cut and an honest amount of coverage. Both also add wide waistbands with bold colors to give their black briefs a little attitude and just a touch of sporty styling. The Supawear Supa-Fly Brief, on the other hand, has a shiny wing-accented waistband. It’s less subtle, but more badass.

aussieBum, Curbwear and Greg Homme bring up the sexy end. Their black brief designs turn a cold shoulder to full-coverage and turn up the heat with teasing peeks of skin. aussieBum’s Catch Of The Day Brief – Barracuda does this perfectly with fishnet panels on the hips. Gregg Homme also uses fishnet but with a wider knit and a crushed leather-look pouch that pushes it from kinky to fetish. Then there’s Curbwear with their Code Breaker Mesh Brief. This pair gets its name from being entirely sheer mesh and has dirty words hidden throughout the waistband.
