Colombian brand Mundo Unico Mestizo Collection includes several different designs, five of which take solid colors and soften them up for a casual springtime style. Not to suggest that the colors aren’t bold. They are. And thanks to color contrasts both classic and cute, solid designs from the Mestizo Collection are even a little bit sporty.
The Ampay and Iquitos Lines are the most simplified, classic designs from the Mundo Unico Mestizo collection. The Ampay line is the only solid style to come as a Brief ($24) and T-Thong ($20). The design is made with a red/white contrast that is equal parts cute and athletic. The Iquitos Line contrasts its white waistband with a navy underwear body. Like the Ampay looks, the Iquitos pairs are made from a soft and stretchy material (82% nylon, 6% polyester, 12% spandex), and designed with a supportive pouch. And while both are technically solid colors, both are detailed with subtle silver polka dots on the body.
The brighter, more fashionable solids come from the Manaos Line and the Samba Short Boxer ($25). The Manaos Line is the only solid style to include a jockstrap ($21) and has the most attractive colors in the Mundo Unico Mestizo collection by contrasting coral and pistachio. The Samba style is applied exclusively to the short boxer, and has a warm yellow body contrasts by a light blue waistband and seams. On the front, the Samba Short Boxer also features some stripes, yet they are restricted to the pouch to draw the eye downward. Both of these styles are also made from 93% cotton and 7% spandex for softness with just enough stretch.
The Paine Line, made from 84% nylon and 16% spandex, is the most inventive solid design. Opting for the colorblocked route, bold stripes make it the most athletic style from the Mestizo Collection.
The Mundo Unico Mestizo Collection is available in sizes S – XL.
