Go Green demonstrates a legless rope climb during this gym session and pairs it with 5 burpee reps. As you probably guessed, a legless rope climb will test the hell out of your upper body strength. But in order to perform the maneuver correctly, you’ll also have to test your discipline.
It will be tempting to use your legs, it might even seem impossible. In the video, you can see Go Green pulls off the legless rope climb by using his hips. Aside from that, it’s clear that his shoulder muscles remain engaged during the entire ascent. Another common movement, similar to Go Green’s, is called a kip swing. Keep in mind, this is an intense exercise to do. Be careful when attempting it. And if you manage to make the climb, you’ll have something to brag about.
