Go Green is back to hitting the rings in this Instagram video, demonstrating muscle-ups with an added forward roll. It goes without saying that you should master a basic muscle-up before adding a forward roll to the motion. Yes, it looks cool, but not it you hurt yourself doing it.
When transitioning into the dip portion of the muscle-up, raise your hips up along the line of the rings’ straps. Your hips should be higher than your shoulders at the end of the dip. Also, the rings should be held close to your chest. Go Green demonstrates the forward roll perfectly in the video. Watch his arms and head for more tips on how to do each rep properly.
