GO Green Fit: Overhead Squats

In this Instagram video, Go Green demonstrates an EMOM combination of power snatches and overhead squats. He goes for 90 seconds and 12 sets, one rep for the snatch and two for the overhead squats. Both of these exercises seriously work your thighs and will add muscle while testing your strength. Go Green himself even admits that overhead squats have plagued him since getting into crossfit.

Overhead squats are done with your feet farther apart than your shoulders. Bend your knees and grab the bar as wide as your feet. Then, you want to lift the barbell as high as your chest to the point where the bar can rest. But don’t rest. Move the bar over your head with your arms fully extended. From here you proceed into the squat.
