GO Green Fit: Calisthenics

For this go around, gogreen2nd shows us a workout rooted in gymnastics and calisthenics. Gymnastic exercises are often done with rings, and in this particular workout video, he demonstrates horizontal ring rows. Calisthenics are a method of exercising that involves variety and usually no equipment. Calisthenics should be an important part of anyone’s fitness regimen. Because they only require your body and strength, you can do calisthenic exercises almost anywhere. And variety is crucial when it comes to working out.

The routine in is this video is meant to last 10 minutes with AMRAP (as many rounds as possible). During the routine, gogreen2nd manages 20 hollow rocks, 20 arch rocks, 5 clapping push-ups, a 30-second chest-to-wall, and finally, 10 horizontal ring rows. As you can see, there is a lot of variety in this workout. The horizontal ring rows are the only move that requires anything but your own body, unless you count the wall.
