For this Instagram fitness vid, we see demonstrations of banded kettlebell swings and broad jumps, two exercises that will focus on your hips and increase strength. The trainer does a total of 6 sets with 8 reps of banded overhead kettlebell swings and 8 broad jumps, all followed by a 40-yard prowler push.
Banded kettlebell swings are a more advanced move typically done by real fitness gurus. If you aren’t comfortable doing your basic kettlebell swing, then don’t attempt to do banded ones just yet. Of course, banded kettlebell swings are also a good way to make kettlebell swings more difficult if they become too easy, or if you don’t have a heavy enough kettlebell. Banded kettlebell swings are more intense because the band gives the kettlebell more speed on the swing’s descent. Because of this, you will have to counter the decent with a more powerful swing.
