GO Green Fit: More Atlas Stone

Just like the name implies, working out with an Atlas stone requires a lot of strength. But you don’t have to be god-like to pull of what our trainer and his buddy do in this video. You just have to be dedicated to using an Atlas stone. Because of the stone’s round shape, it is difficult to grasp and requires the user to be more focused and balanced while lifting the weight. In this video, the guys do 10 reps of ground-to-over-shoulders with the Atlas stone.

If you watch the video, you can see that both guys start out with their legs bent and their feet slightly apart when preparing to lift the ball. This is pretty similar to the starting position of several crossfit lifts. You also want to notice how their arms grab the ball from between their legs while their knees are wide apart.

Have you ever used an Atlas stone during a workout routine? What other less conventional tools do you use to stay fit? Let us know in the comments below, or by tweeting us @underwearexpert.
