By now you have probably seen our go-to crossfit trainer on Instagram execute countless deadlifts. But in this new video, he does his max deadlift. This means he lifts an amount so heavy, he can only manage one rep. He works his way up to 455 lbs., all the while still nursing his Achilles’ tendon back to perfect health. We can’t imagine how sore his lower back was after that rep.
Deadlifts are the standard lift when is comes to crossfit training. But when doing a lift this intense, you will of course want to be careful. In the video, you will notice our trainer has a spotter there keeping an eye on things. If you are trying to literally push yourself to your limits, make sure you do it with the proper support and a spotter. As with a normal deadlift, you will also want to make sure you have the form down to a science before attempting a lift so big.
